Every year our members vote for the Branch Pub of the Year (POTY). This pub then competes with other Kent CAMRA POTY’s, to be awarded the Kent POTY. The Kent winner then goes forward, with other Regional winners, one of which will ultimately become the National POTY. The National winner will be announced in February of the following year.

The criteria for judging includes the following:-

  • Quality of Beer/Cider/Perry
  • Style, Decor, Furnishing and Cleanliness
  • Service, Welcome and Offering
  • Community Focus and Atmosphere
  • Alignment with CAMRA Principles

Branch Pub of The Year is This Ancient Boro', Tenterden.

About the Pub

Reopened in July 2018 as an Ale House & Tapas Bar, This Ancient Boro’ was previously known as the Honeymoon Chinese Restaurant. Up until 1968, the site had, for many years, been a Whitbread Public House and known as This Ancient Boro’, therefore, having acquired the site in May 2018, it seemed only right that it should return to its former name.  Visit WhatPub for more information
