Pub Of The Year 2012
We have five pubs nominated for our 2012 Branch Pub of the Year, they are:
Bell at Ivychurch, Bowl at Hastingleigh, Farriers Arms at Mersham, Ship at Sandgate, Three Mariners at Hythe
At the meeting in the County Hotel in Ashford on 15 February 2012, the winner was announced and the result will be published on this website sometime during Saturday 18/Sunday 19 February.
The Red Lion, Snargate
The Branch Pub of the Year for 2009 is The Red Lion, Snargate. The award presentation took place on Thursday 25th June at 7.30 pm. Everybody was welcome to attend this event.
The picture shows Doris Jemison, proprietor of the Red Lion holding the certificate which had just been presentated to her by branch chairman Paul Meridith.
Doris celebrated her 80th birthday earlier this year so winning this award again was an extra reason to celebrate.
