Congratulations to Mark and Vanda of the Bell Inn, Ivychurch for being voted by local Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) members as the branch Pub of the Year for 2010.
The pub deservedly takes the title this year for the consistent quality of it's real ales, with it's 3 regular beers and ever changing 2 guest ales. The surveys this year used the same forms as when voting for the Kent pub of the year, so the pubs were marked on atmosphere, service, sympathy with CAMRA aims, clientele mix and good value. The Bell shone in all areas, offering inexpensive ales, good quality & value food, and an excellent welcome at all times.
The presentation was held on 13th May.
